Arrival of the antichrist
The Antichrist will not come on the scene waving a flag saying, “This is the covenant with many.” Scripture never names the covenant. In the same way, the Antichrist will not announce himself or say, “Hey, it’s me, the Antichrist.”The covenant with many will not necessarily be a formal seven-year term of the deal, but rather a seven-year period foretold by God. His identity will not be confirmed until he commits the abomination that causes desolation at the midpoint of that seven-year period (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15).
We may speculate his identity, but we cannot know for certain until that event takes place.
I believe the peace deals taking place right now in Israel, including the Abraham Accords and the recent UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025) "Board of Peace" are the covenant with many spoken of in Daniel 9:27. https://docs.un.org/en/s/res/2803(2025) https://www.state.gov/the-abraham-accords https://www.aapeaceinstitute.org. I firmly believe this will be finalized with 10 nations. The 10 nations predicted in the Book of Revelation will be the end result of this process. Its possible that the antichrist nation and Israel will be a separate part of the deal, but not named, covenant confirmers. Never before has Israel entered into a peace deal or “accord” signed with many of its historic enemies at once. Previous peace agreements were isolated and limited in scope. What we are seeing today fits exactly the kind of covenant that could mark the beginning of the final seven years of God’s prophetic timeline leading to the millennial reign of Christ.
Jesus’ Instructions for Believers
Jesus told His followers to stay ready for His return. That remains the believer’s highest priority.
We are to live as though He could return at any moment—staying sober, awake, and redeeming the time (1 Thessalonians 5:6; Ephesians 5:16). When He said this, He knew that countless generations would meet Him through death. Yet He also gave specific instructions to the final generation through Daniel 9, Matthew 24, and the book of Revelation. It is worth noting that Revelation was written after the rest of the New Testament—showing that God intended to give His Church a detailed roadmap of events surrounding Christ’s return.
What I Believe Is About to Happen
Finalization of the Abraham Accords/ Board of Peace, followed by approximately 3½ years of peace in the Middle East.
→ This could mark the first seal of Revelation.
Midpoint: The abomination that causes desolation occurs, beginning the Great Tribulation.
Commerce continues under the Beast system: buying, selling, marrying, and trading, right up to the end.
The mark of the Beast signifies allegiance and access to trade.
Just as in the days of Noah, life will seem normal until sudden judgment falls. Just like Noah, we are warned ahead of time as well.
My Opinion Order of Events in Revelation
Seal 1: Covenant with many and Antichrist’s peaceful rise (Revelation 6:1-2). Seal 2 the beginning of the great tribulation.
The book proceeds chronologically, with pauses for background and filling in details about people, places, things that are important in the storyline:
Chapter 10 pauses the timeline before chapter 11 picks back up just before the 7th Trumpet. Chapter 11 begins by introducing the two witnesses.
After Chapter 11, Chapters 12–15 provide context before the bowls begin in Chapter 16.
Chapters 17–19 pauses the timeline and zooms in for adding detail, and Chapter 20 carries the story into the Millennial Kingdom and eternity.
Important Distinctions
The Hour of Trial (Revelation 3:10) is not the same as the Great Tribulation.
The faithful are promised to be kept from that hour, but not necessarily raptured.
There is one resurrection of the dead, not a series of resurrections (2 Timothy 2:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:16).
The Great Tribulation begins as human conflict, not angelic intervention, until the 6th seal.
The first mention in scripture of someone permanently resurrected other than Christ Himself is that of the two witnesses. Since there is only one resurrection of the righteous, this is likely the start of it.
The Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ
Chapter 10 ends with the 7th angel about to sound, telling John to “prophesy again.”
Chapter 11 rewinds to the start of the tribulation to introduce the two witnesses who prophesy for 1,260 days. After their death they lie dead in the street for 3 days while people celebrate and send each other gifts. The mark of the beast is in full swing at his point. People are still buying and selling. Now they likely pronounce peace and safety for 3 days giving credit to the two witnesses for the events of the previous 3 years, and not credit to God. They celebrate like they won, the beast from the pit killed the two witnesses so it’s all over! Nope. The two witnesses are resurrected into permanent bodies as the world watches. They are called up to heaven as their enemies look on.
Then, likely the resurrection as the 7th Trumpet sounds with the rapture.
To interpret chapter 10 and 11 otherwise would require a 3½-year time period between the 6th and 7th trumpets, which the text does not support.
The angel in Chapter 10 may indeed be the voice of the archangel Paul described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
Revelation 14 summarizes the Lord’s return:
The cloud-rider harvests the wheat (7th Trumpet).
Then, seated still upon the cloud, He reaps again, the grapes, gathering the wicked to Armageddon.
Jesus then tramples the winepress of God’s wrath as He comes “like a thief.”
The Identity and Timing of the Antichrist
-A king, prince, or political leader who confirms a covenant with many for one seven-year period.
-Descendant of the Roman Empire (Daniel 9).
-Commands the most powerful military in history short of the Lord’s own.
-Honors a foreign god of fortresses with gold and silver.
-Speaks boastful words against God and those who dwell in heaven, just like when King Herod refused to give God the glory, struck down.
-Rules successfully until the time of wrath is complete.
-Maintains a global system of light, power, and commerce to the very end.
-During the 4th seal, the rider named Death likely represents this Antichrist, with Hades following. The 5th seal shows martyrs crying for justice; the 6th seal marks divine intervention.
-Wages war against the saints and overcomes them.
-Is loved and received by Israel—then betrays her at the midpoint.
-Ultimately, the world worships him.
-Destroyed by the brightness of the coming of the Lord.
The message has never changed: Stay ready. The time is near. Just as Noah was warned before the flood, we have been warned through prophecy of the coming judgment. Jesus is the only escape, no matter the timing. You must be born again.
“Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
— Revelation 16:15
