Jesus in the OT!
Was Jesus actually present in the Old Testament? Was He actually there interacting with mankind before He came as a baby in a manger? Oneness believers, jehovahs witnesses, and more think it was someone else. What does God’s Word say about that?
Explicit New Testament Statements
1. John 8:56-59 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
2. Christ was with Israel in the wilderness
1 Corinthians 10:4
“For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.”
3. Moses suffered for Christ
Hebrews 11:26
“Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt.”
4. Isaiah saw Jesus’ glory
John 12:41
“These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.”
