The way, the truth, and the life
Jesus is the doorway to heaven through the Holy Spirit.
Revealed at the Transfiguration and again in Revelation, Jesus has access to both the Spirit and heaven, where He remains until His return. Having fulfilled His role as Son of God and Redeemer, He opened this portal for us.
Figure [#]. The Holy Spirit, like a cosmic fluid, fills heaven and earth. Through Jesus a portal stands open between the realms, and the Spirit is its conduit. The One on the throne appears like jasper and carnelian, encircled by a rainbow like an emerald, with lightnings proceeding from the throne, surrounded by the twenty-four elders and the angelic host (Rev. 4:3–5; 5:11). Jesus stands in heaven at the right hand of the throne, as John saw Him in Revelation 1:13–16.
