Bible stories that teach the life of Noah

Noah Builds the Ark
Genesis 6:5–22 · story film
The earth was filled with violence, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD and walked with God. God told Noah to make an ark of gopher wood, three hundred cubits long, with a window above and a door in the side, and to bring in his family and two of every living thing. Noah did everything God commanded him, even before he saw a drop of rain (Hebrews 11:7).
Big idea: Noah trusted God and did all that He commanded.
Memory verse:
Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Genesis 6:22 (KJV)Ask: What does the Bible say about Noah? He found grace in the eyes of the LORD; he was a just man, and he walked with God (Genesis 6:8–9).

The Flood
Genesis 7:1–24 · story film
God told Noah, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark,” and the animals went in two and two. Then the LORD shut him in, the fountains of the great deep broke open, and rain fell forty days and forty nights until even the high hills were covered. Everything outside was lost, but Noah and all who were with him in the ark were kept safe.
Big idea: God keeps His people safe through the storm.
Memory verse:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1 (KJV)Ask: How did the animals go into the ark? Two and two, the male and the female (Genesis 7:9).
Game: Into the Ark Before the Rain (about 10 minutes)

The Rainbow Promise
Genesis 8:1–9:17 · story film
God remembered Noah, the waters went down, and the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. The dove came back with an olive leaf, and when Noah’s family and the animals came out, Noah built an altar to the LORD. God promised never again to destroy the earth with a flood, and He set His bow in the cloud as the token of His covenant.
Big idea: God always keeps His promises.
Memory verse:
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:13 (KJV)Ask: Where did the ark come to rest? Upon the mountains of Ararat (Genesis 8:4).
